We have a publishing arm consisting of a dozen owned websites including PCGamesN.com and over 90 network site partners such as TrueAchievements.com. We produce class-leading content for clients via our creative agency team, and work with publishers and advertisers to unlock audience value. The company is based in Bath, UK.
Network N is hiring for an Editor-in-Chief to lead its portfolio of owned websites.
Reporting into the Publishing Director, the Editor-in-Chief will oversee and manage all of Network N’s web properties, including PCGamesN, The Loadout, Pocket Tactics, Strategy Gamer, and Wargamer. We’re looking for someone ambitious who can continue to grow the reach of our award-winning portfolio, while also improving and evolving our editorial output.
As Editor-in-Chief you’ll lead our talented team of editors and work with them to conceive and execute content strategies for each brand, ensuring that all our audiences are served in the best possible manner, and with our SEO Manager to maximise the reach of that content.
You’ll be responsible for output that’s seen by millions of people each week, and trusted to oversee and grow some of the biggest brands in their sectors. As such you’ll need extensive editorial experience in games (or related) media, and have a track record of high achievement in running other established websites.
This is an opportunity to manage fast-growing brands at a fast-growing company, and to shape and steer the editorial direction of both established outlets and numerous future launches that we have planned. We’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who is passionate about the work we do, and wants to make it even better in 2020 and beyond.
- Developing and executing content strategies for Network N’s owned websites, including PCGamesN and The Loadout
- Growing audiences and improving editorial quality across all brands
- Managing the editors and editorial teams for each website
- Delivery of branded content campaigns
- Budget management
Required skills and experience
- 5+ years experience in senior editorial roles
- A demonstrable track-record for improving and growing online brands
- Experience managing editorial teams and budgets
- Knowledge of online publishing best practises and SEO
- A passion for videogames
